Kent Police

South East region. Headquarters: Maidstone.

  • Border policing
  • Modern slavery
  • Cross-Channel organised crime

Kent Police serves approximately 1.8 million people in England's "Garden of England," but also one of its most operationally complex forces. Dover is the UK's busiest port and the principal route for irregular migration across the English Channel, placing significant demands on Kent in relation to immigration enforcement, modern slavery, and smuggling. The force works closely with Border Force, the National Crime Agency, and French law enforcement authorities.

Area Covered

Kent Police covers the county of Kent, including the towns of Maidstone, Canterbury, Margate, Folkestone, Ashford, and the Port of Dover. Kent is England's southernmost county and the principal gateway for cross-Channel travel and freight.
